Why is my AutoCAD import missing geometry?
If the imported AutoCAD® drawing appears to be missing some geometry it may be for the following reasons:
There are more than 255 layers in the AutoCAD® drawing – additional layers will all appear on the Temp (v5) layer
There are some types of geometry that DynaSCAPE cannot handle. i.e. Blocks, Proxy Graphics, etc.
The geometry is not on the Model‐space page of the drawing. DynaSCAPE cannot import geometry from any other pages (Work or Paper‐space)
The geometry may be on an external reference drawing and cannot be imported
The layer may be turned off and just not currently visible. Go to the Layer Table Editor and turn it on (see Step 3: Editing the Imported Drawing). Importing DWG/DXF file types
The geometry may be the same as your page color. Try changing your page color.
When an AutoCAD file is imported to Design, the program will do its best to match the layers but if it can’t, they get added as a new layer with a width of 0. This makes the lines look very thin and faint when printed out but you still have the option to go back into the drawing and increasing the line weight for the items that look blurry.
👈You can do this by going to the Layer Table Editor
